Turmeric and fish are both excellent for cognitive health due to their unique properties and the presence of specific compounds that offer various benefits to the brain. Choose your favourite fish and get cooking with our yummy recipe.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Chilli flakes
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Method:
Combine all spices in a small ramekin.
Lay fish on a flat surface and dab with roller towel to remove excess moisture.
Squeeze over some lemon juice and then rub in the spice mixture on one side.
While doing this, heat up a pan to med-high heat and add a dollop of coconut oil or butter.
Place fish, spice side down, on the pan and fry for 4 minutes.
While this side is frying, squeeze over a bit more lemon juice.
Flip and fry for another 4 minutes or until cooked. Serve with cubed avocado and sweet potato wedges.
