Hi there, my name is Odette and I started working at All Things Earthly when the Kommetjie store launched in September 2022.
I’ve always had an interest in healthy eating, which was amplified after I had my boys. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the team and customers at All Things Earthly and hope to be able to share my passion and knowledge with you.
When my boys were old enough to be introduced to solid foods, I studied Mila’s Meals and made everything from scratch for them. When I experienced a health challenge of my own in 2018, eating organic vegetables became my number 1 priority for myself and my family.
I have experienced my own mental health struggles when doctors were trying to diagnose my youngest son with either a ketolysis defect or ketotic hypoglycaemia. When covid hit and all the madness began, the doctors had to put the genetic tests on hold. As a family, we got through it together and his condition spontaneously resolved. This year I am using all my tools to regulate my own nervous system and I have found the convenience of a shop like ATE on my doorstep to be so helpful.
I can highly recommend Cosmic Bazaar’s Sceletium and Harmonic Mycology’s Lion’s Mane as my favourite products. I also love seeing what organic treats Bees in Boots are able to procure for us and I find the Salted Caramel Fudge from Cravings Bakery irresistible. My boys adore the fruit strings from Farm World.
My family are my everything, and I feel the universe has aligned to allow me to work at a place that supports my mental and emotional wellbeing. I hope to be able to share the strength, knowledge and support with the lovely humans I meet on a daily basis.
